Lewis Hamilton has claimed he wishes he could say more about what is going on at Ferrari, after once again struggling to get a result from his SF-25.
Hamilton out-qualified his teammate Charles Leclerc at the Canadian Grand Prix, but as the race played out he fell well behind his teammate.
Neither of the Ferraris were in contention for the win in Canada, calling for the seven-time champion to ask the Scuderia where the upgrades to the car are.
“Of course, I’m asking for these things [upgrades],” he told Sky Italia. “I don’t know why we haven’t been bringing upgrades, I think we have one hopefully coming soon.”

Hamilton says not only does the SF-25 need upgrades but the team does as well.
“The mindset for me, I’m like ‘there’s a lot of changes that need to be made in the system’,” he said. “I wish I could tell you what’s happening. There’s a lot going on in the background.
“Yeah, I can’t say too much about it. There’s so many things I wish I could tell you that could explain the things that have happened this year, the problems we had, and what’s going on within the organisation.
“But my goal is to try and positively influence, try and get change so we can have long-term success.
“There’s a lot of changes that we need. For me it’s that foundation building. We’re not fighting for a championship.”

ReutersHamilton’s comments come as rumours have begun that should Ferrari’s performance not improve before the end of the season, team principal Fred Vasseur will be the one to pay the price.
However, the former Mercedes man has thrown his support behind his new team principal.
“It’s definitely not nice to hear that there are stories like that that are out there,” he told the media in Montreal.

Both Hamilton and Vasseur hope they can change the systems inside Ferrari to turn their season around, they will hope to make an impact starting from the next race in Austria in a few weeks.
